Choose Kaiser Permanente and get more than a health plan

Now is the time to start thinking about the future of your health

We’ve all been made to believe that the way health care operates today is how it’s supposed to be. Taking your records from doctor to doctor. Searching for specialists. Driving from one location to the next. Spending more on care than suits your budget. And since all these hassles seem to be built into health care, we don’t think we have any other choice but to live with it.

Switch to a plan that fits your care needs and your life

As a public sector employee, you do have a choice. With a Kaiser Permanente health plan, your experience will be very different. We’re built for the way people live today. In the region’s leading health system,1 every part of your care — health plan, doctors, pharmacists, specialists, diagnostics, even medical facilities — is designed to work together.

That may be one reason why, along with the quality of care our doctors deliver, our health plan received 5 out of 5, the highest rating in the region.2

Leading health care powered by digital convenience

Kaiser Permanente delivers our high-quality care with digital tools that enable you to manage and receive care via the Kaiser Permanente app.3 With it, you can:

Care for your mental wellness

Mental health is an important part of your overall wellness — your mind, body, and spirit are all connected. At Kaiser Permanente, we support your mental health in a number of ways. You can get treated by an in-network provider for conditions such as depression, anxiety, and addiction, with no referral needed. Learn more about the resources we offer to support your mental health and wellness.

New! First responders: Support for your mental wellness

As a Kaiser Permanente member, you can get care for mental health concerns from an in-network mental health provider with no referral. Your provider may also recommend self-care apps to address a particular concern.

First responders can get additional support from Kaiser Permanente’s partnership with Harbor of Grace’s National Law Enforcement & First  Responder Wellness Center. They offer treatment for substance abuse, trauma, and more. Learn more about Harbor of Grace. Explore more ways that we care for your mental health.

The truth about choice

What does “choice” get you in traditional health care? Redundant and expensive tests. Having to take your medical information from doctor to doctor and back. The burden of finding a specialist on your own. Physicians who don’t work together in the best interest of your health unless YOU make them. Insurers who make the decisions about your care and treatment — not you and your doctor.

Why not choose something different — like a health system that combines both care and coverage in support of your overall health and wellness? That’s Kaiser Permanente.

In our system, all our doctors are connected to each other to collaborate on your care, supported by pharmacists, nurses, diagnostic technicians, wellness coaches, nutritionists, and your health plan. So, you never have to act as a middleman with your medical history or billing. You’re never left on your own to search for specialty care. You never have to look in multiple locations for important health information. And you and your doctor decide on the right treatment for you — not the insurance company. So, you always get precisely the care you need. To us, the choice seems pretty clear.
