We all lead busy lives. Between work, school, and activities, it’s easy to let taking care of your health fall by the wayside. It’s even harder when getting the care you need isn’t very convenient.
At Kaiser Permanente, we eliminate barriers to you getting care. Our multiple telehealth options — 24/7 medical advice, video visits,1 Mail Order Pharmacy,2 prompt virtual care with no appointment, remote monitoring, and more — mean you don’t have to disrupt your day to address a health concern.
When you need to get care in person, our growing number of medical centers have all you need to take care of your health. Most feature lab, pharmacy, diagnostics, and Urgent Care all in one building.3
Many are open 24/7 and offer around-the-clock Advanced Urgent Care, which provides services not typically available in external urgent care facilities, such as CT scans, cardiac monitoring, and more.
Several medical centers include multiple specialty services in a single location — which makes getting all the care you need almost effortless.
And there’s much more to the convenient care we provide. Kaiser Permanente now offers plans that let you choose mostly virtual options for care, saving you money and hassle.

Health care has changed a lot since 2020. More people than ever are taking advantage of virtual care by phone or video. And almost 20 years ago, we were among the first in the region to offer it. Now we offer flexible plans that allow you to receive most of your care virtually, with in-person visits when needed. Virtual Forward plans provide convenient, affordable care by phone, video visit, email, or e-visit, with in-person care when you need it. Learn more.
When you’re traveling outside of a Kaiser Permanente region, you may be injured or fall ill. We’ll help you get the care you need while you’re away, and before you go, we’ll make sure you have what you need, including vaccines, prescriptions, and more. 1 When appropriate and available. If you travel out of state, phone appointments and video visits may not be available due to state laws that may prevent doctors and health care providers from providing care across state lines. Laws differ by state.
2 Some medications are not eligible for Mail Order Pharmacy. Mail Order Pharmacy can deliver to addresses in MD, VA, DC, and certain locations outside the service area.
3 These features are available when you get care from Kaiser Permanente facilities.
